We begin by exploring a small but diverse range of poems, opening our minds to different styles, voices, and techniques participants can draw from. The session then focuses primarily on guided writing exercises and drafting time, allowing space to develop new work or refine existing poems. In the final section, we turn to performance, experimenting with how to read poetry aloud and engage an audience. Participants may share work-in-progress for supportive feedback in small groups or with the room, though sharing is always optional, in a welcoming environment.About the Speaker:Elizabeth Chung Yi-LeiElizabeth “Lilli” Chung Yi-Lei is a PhD Candidate at Chinese University of Hong Kong, researching Hong Kong literature, focusing on the relationship between community and contemporary literature.
